Super Critical Mass choir session

8 Nov 2017 - 9 Nov 2017

As part of Cover Versions: Mimicry and Resistence, SAM are hosting Sydney/New-York/Brisbane-based duo, Super Critical Mass (Julian Day and Luke Jaaniste).

Super Critical Mass’ work, Moving Collected Ambience is a participatory sound art performance in which performers move through the gallery spaces producing simple vocal sounds in response to SAM’s permanent collection, the gallery architecture and each other. Blending in with the gallery audience, participants will navigate the space while vocalising predetermined sounds which act like notes in a song. This work was originally performed at the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia in Sydney.

You may know Julian Day from his role as a presenter on ABC Classic FM - he came to Shepparton in August, and will be returning to rehearse for the big event on Friday 10 November. If you have already joined the choir, you will receive information via email. If you would like to join up, please RSVP your attendance to one of the meeting times listed below by clicking their respective links.
