Art students, want to make your mark with art?

Join artist Troy Firebrace for a 5-week painting workshop in SAM’s new workshop space!

Work upscale or downscale, paint on canvas boards or walls, onsite or online! Be inspired by his stunning and symbolic art style.

The 1.5 hr workshops will be taking place consecutively every Wednesday, starting on October 27.

Dates:

27 October, 3 November, 10 November, 17 November, & 24 November.

Duration:

1.5hrs from 4:30pm – 6:00pm

The workshops will run onsite or COVID pending – ZOOM Workshop.

About the Artist

Based in Bendigo, Troy Firebrace runs his own arts and education business Firebrace Designs. Under this title he not only practices as a professional artist but also as an Aboriginal educator providing and developing Aboriginal based learning and lessons for all ages. He has worked all over Victoria in many Primary and Secondary schools as well as TAFEs and Universities.  

Firebrace studied a Bachelor in Creative Arts, Major in Fine Art, at Bendigo University and is currently completing a Masters of Teaching Secondary Education. Firebrace has exhibited widely in Victoria and was the winner of the Art Gallery of Ballarat Victorian Indigenous Art Awards in 2015. 

His recent mural shown above, Induction, was #39 of SAM’s Artwall series in the Eastbank foyer.
