Meredith Turnbull & Ross Coulter: All Together

12 November 2022 - 30 April 2023

Referencing the history of the group portrait from Velazquez’s Las Meninas (1656) to the modern-day family photo, All Together expands on how we interpret and represent ‘family’ in this collaborative project between the artists and visitors to SAM.

Be embraced by the creative workspace created by Turnbull & Coulter. Throughout the exhibition we encourage you to make use of the ‘selfie station’ to self-compose your own ‘awkward family photo’ of yourself and your fellow museum-goers, and tag @sam_shepparton to become part of the expanding understanding of what group portraiture and family can be.

While at SAM, children must remain with and be supervised by an accompanying adult.
