SAM Summer Camp: Crafting Abstract Sculptures with Julia Gorman

Inspired by her recent work held currently at SAM, Come Into My World (2024), in this workshop artist Julia Gorman encourages young artists to think outside the (cardboard) box as they transform cardboard into unique and colourful flat-pack sculptures.

Participants will be introduced to the artwork that they will be responding to on Level 1, followed by the craft session. Participants will be invited to cut, paint, glue and stick cardboard into natural shapes to produce an abstract, modernist-style masterpiece.
