This AusArts Day, help us reach the next generation of local creatives where they live and learn with the SAM Van.

Since launching in 2025, the SAM Van outreach program has made the Shepparton Art Museum experience mobile, traveling across the Goulburn Valley to deliver creative workshops in schools and community centres in our fully electric van.

Our experiences connecting with rural schools and community groups with the SAM Van have shown how successful this program can be — and now we need your support to take this program further.

The next phase of the SAM Van program would see a subsidised Art Cases program that brings exhibition-inspired tactile resources and creative workshops directly to the classrooms of rural, under-resourced schools—bringing hands-on learning and art encounters to schools and students who may never otherwise have the means to make the trip to the gallery, while fostering a passion for the arts from childhood.
