Aleisa Miksad: Pareidolia
Aleisa Miksad: Pareidolia
From 21 February 2026
Inspired by ancient Greek vessels and myth, Aleisa Miksad's coil-built ceramics bridge antiquity and the present. Cloaked in tentacles, spires, and bulbous forms, her vessels invite pareidolia—the human tendency to perceive familiar shapes, like faces, in random imagery.
Mirrored and doubled like Rorchach inkblot tests—images designed to elicit unconscious responses—Miksad explores how meaning is formed through looking. Rather than offering fixed interpretations, she positions perception as an active, subjective process shaped by the viewer's memories, desires, and unease.
