Shepparton Art Museum respects the rights of all artists and copyright holders and undertakes all reasonable efforts to ensure that all artworks and information that appear on this website do so with the consent of the artist/s or copyright holders.

SAM recognises however, that despite best efforts there may be occasions when material made available online is considered to breach copyright or other relevant law or contains information that is culturally sensitive. If you have a concern about an image on the SAM website, please contact us at collections@sheppartonartmuseum.com.au. SAM will remove the relevant content from the website until the matter is resolved.

The design and content of this website may not be reproduced, copied, used, communicated to the public or transmitted without the express written permission of the Shepparton Art Museum, except for the purposes of private study, research, criticism, review, or education, as provided for in the Australian Copyright Act 1968

For written permission to reproduce information on this website for any purpose other than personal use, please contact the author, where named, or Shepparton Art Museum. When information from this website is used in any context, it must be sourced to the website of Shepparton Art Museum and the date of publication of the Shepparton Art Museum website must be stated. 

Shepparton Art Museum Logos

The Shepparton Art Museum, Sidney Myer Fund Australian Ceramic Award, Indigenous Ceramic Award and Arts Victoria logos are protected by trade mark registration and copyright. These logos must not be placed on an external website, or otherwise used by any external party, without the express approval of Shepparton Art Museum or the respective organisation.

Image Reproduction Requests

For reproduction requests of images of SAM collection works please contact collections@sheppartonartmuseum.com.au and include:

  • Details of the artwork image being requested
  • The intended use
  • Your contact details

Please note that it is the applicant’s sole responsibility to seek copyright permission from the copyright owner of the artwork. Where copyright is held externally, SAM will need to see proof of copyright permission prior to providing an image.
