Educator Professional Learning After Dark | Facing Modernity: Degas to Picasso

Join us for a special after-hours look at Facing Modernity: Degas to Picasso, exclusively for primary and secondary school educators.

Tracing the major art movements of the modern era, the exhibition brings together 37 artworks by influential artists including Paul Cezanne, Salvador Dalí, Barbara Hepworth, Henri Matisse, and Pablo Picasso.

Following a guided exhibition walkthrough, educators will explore Education Kits for primary, secondary, and VCE students, as well as the SAM Van outreach art case and programs that bring the exhibition into classrooms

Educators will also discover how their students can enter the Young Archies as part of the Archibald Prize 2026 – an exciting opportunity for local school students to exhibit their own portraits!

Date & Time: Tuesday 2 June 5.00-6.00pm

Location: Shepparton Art Museum, 530 Wyndham St, Shepparton
