Educator Professional Learning with Penny Byrne

Arts educators are invited to join SAM for an exciting Professional Development session facilitated by artist Penny Byrne. Known best locally for her work Four Horsemen of the 21st Century Apocalypse, Penny will lead a discussion inspired by her practice before guiding attendees through a hands-on workshop on 3D collaging techniques which can easily be replicated in the classroom.

All materials are provided – however, attendees are welcome to bring along their own workshop materials, such as broken or thrifted ceramics or plastic toys.

This professional development session is suitable for all educators. VCE educators will gain first-hand insight into both Art: Creative Practice and Art: Making and Exhibiting VCE outcomes. All educators will enjoy this introduction to contemporary art theory.

Tickets for this program are inclusive of lunch, supplied by Elsewhere at SAM. Pre-orders will be available from Elsewhere at SAM café.
