SAM at Sunset: April

In our new, expanded format, SAM will open from 5pm until 8pm on the last Thursday of each month to give you an evening of art, creativity, drinks and music. Whether you're looking to catch up with friends, venture out solo, or get creative with your kids, SAM at Sunset is the perfect place for you on the last Thursday of each month.
This month, we'll be celebrating artist & guest curator Adam John Cullen's two interconnected shows Three Hares and Three Ears. Keep scrolling to view the full program for 27 April.

5.30 - 8 PM: Bar and live music (Level 4)
With its sleek architecture and design, our bar's relaxed, stylish atmosphere is perfect for after-work drinks, date night, or a catch-up with friends.
Tickets* are required for entry to this area, and will give you access to:
- Licensed bar area (please note: bar service commences at 5.30pm)
- Live music from Luke Lewis from 6.30pm
Your ticket includes:
- One drink from the bar (cash bar available for additional drink purchases)
- Light refreshments
*Tickets to the bar and live music are only available to adults aged 18 and over.

5 - 8PM: SAM Shop (Ground floor)
Looking for the perfect treat or gift idea? SAM Shop stocks a selection of the best in local and Australian-made homewares, accessories, books and toys.
5.00 - 6.30PM: All Together group photography sessions (Children's Gallery, Level 2)
All are invited to bring along friends and family and pose for your own fun, quirky group portrait in the colourful All Together exhibition space, created by artists Meredith Turnbull and Ross Coulter.
Photos will be taken by SAM Public Programs Coordinator Olivia Trenorden, and visitors can take home a printed and digital copy.

5PM: Kids-focused tour of Dance Me to the End of Love (Lin Onus Gallery, Level 1)
Kids are in the spotlight as we explore new SAM Collection exhibition Dance Me to the End of Love. The tour will follow the SAM Kids Art Trail & children's labels in the space, engaging kids' curiosity and leading them on a journey of discovery through the ideas and themes of the show.

Guest curator and artist Adam John Cullen explores his exhibitions Three Ears and Three Hares in a conversation with Adam Stone (LON Gallery), artist Kate Wallace, and SAM Head of Exhibitions & Collections Jessica O'Farrell

6.45PM: Designing Dance Me to the End of Love (Lin Onus Gallery, Level 1)
Join us for a conversation that digs into the behind-the-scenes process of designing the Dance Me to the End of Love exhibition with our curatorial team. From the delicate curtain behind Woman and Child to the island of Ramesh Nithiyendran's ceramics, learn about the design choices that build and enhance the mood of the incredible works housed within the gallery.
