This year, SAM reaches a milestone moment, with 2026 marking 90 years of the SAM Collection. Across the year, we'll be digging into the archives to unearth the moments that made us, the artworks that we've come to know and love, and celebrate a legacy that continues to grow stronger.

Share your stories of SAM

We want to hear your memories of SAM to celebrate this milestone anniversary. If you have a recollection of the first time you saw an artwork, a school visit to the gallery that stayed with you, memorable dates or encounters in the museum —we want to know it all. We'll be sharing the stories we get from our community across our social media platforms and our website.

How to get involved

Send us a brief voice note (max. 90 seconds long) recounting a special memory you have of a visit to SAM or an encounter with one of our artworks via email at projects@sheppartonartmuseum.com. Please include your first name and your age, and feel free to attach any photos related to your story! If you would prefer to just provide a written anecdote, that's fine too - just email it to the address above, or follow the link below.
