6 - 6.30PM: SAM Open 2023 exhibition celebration

Our annual open-call community exhibition SAM Open provides an opportunity for local creatives to showcase their talent in a dedicated community space at the museum. Learn more about this year's artists and their diverse interpretations and responses to this year's theme of Home in this illuminating talk between SAM Curator - Community Caroline Esbenshade and selected exhibiting artists.

5.30 - 8 PM: Bar and still-life sketching (Level 4)

With its relaxed lounge atmosphere, our Level 4 bar is perfect for after-work drinks, date night, or a catch-up with friends, soundtracked by a DJ set from local crate-diggers Record Per Tutti.

While you sip, get sketching at our still-life sketching station, where items from the SAM Ceramics Collection will be set up for you to try your hand at your own still-life drawing.

Tickets* are required for entry to this area, and will give you access to:
- Licensed bar area (please note: bar service commences at 5.30pm)

Your ticket includes:
- One drink from the bar (cash bar available for additional drink purchases)
- Light refreshments

*Tickets to the bar area are only available to adults aged 18 and over
