For VCE school groups
For VCE groups, SAM offers 20 minute sessions that introduce students to the process of developing and delivering exhibitions to support unit outcomes for Art Making and Exhibiting.
In these introductory sessions, staff from the SAM Exhibition and Collections team will address key considerations that inform exhibition presentation and design.
For this introductory tour, schools may select one area of focus:
- Exhibition design
- Artwork conservation considerations
- Curating an exhibition
- Marketing and communications for an exhibition
Selection from the above will help us to determine the most appropriate staff member to deliver your session.
After the session, schools are welcome to conduct their own self-guided tour of the museum.
Additional VCE subjects may benefit from the expertise at SAM. To enquire and for fee structures, please email us at education@sheppartonartmuseum.com.au and we will help to design a session that best meets your students' needs.
