SAM Makes: Rock and Roll Robes

Join SAM Engagement Ambassador Mel Lindupp as she leads a hands-on upcycling workshop inspired by the works of artist Nell. Together, attendees will breathe life back into pre-loved clothing through fabric painting, borrowing from Nell’s signature rock and roll iconography.

This program includes a brief tour of Nell’s works currently on display in SAM exhibition Dance Me to the End of Love.

Attendees are to bring in their own preferred piece of clothing for decoration – all other materials provided.

About the SAM Engagement Ambassador program:

Supported by The William Buckland Foundation, the SAM Engagement Ambassador program is a four-month internship at Shepparton Art Museum for emerging arts workers. Over the course of the internship, Engagement Ambassadors work closely with the SAM Public Programs Coordinator to support the delivery of public program to SAM audiences, whilst gaining an insight into the overall workings and structure of the museum. At the conclusion of the internship, Ambassadors have the opportunity to deliver their own, self-designed program.
