SAM SQUARED is a program of community exhibitions and shows presented in SAM's Community Gallery. We coordinate expressions of interest throughout the year for artists and groups to display their work at SAM.

A key component of SAM’s artistic and cultural program, SAM SQUARED offers a range of exhibitions, programs and events designed to promote, foster, engage, and celebrate creativity from our vibrant arts and creative community in north central Victoria. 

Proposals for exhibitions and community-led projects will be accepted from people living and working in Shepparton and the Goulburn Valley region. We also encourage applicants from outside the Goulburn Valley Region who can demonstrate strong links or connections with the area.

The annual SAM SQUARED program will offer the following opportunities via a series of open callouts.

• FRESH: GV Top Art & Design 2021 - A selection of our most talented students from North East Victoria.
• SAM Open - An open access community group exhibition.
• SAM Spotlight - Presenting the work of a new or emerging solo artist.
• SAM EOI - An artist or community group exhibition via expression of interest submission.
