Join Shepparton local Dr Darius von Güttner (Australian Catholic University) as he leads us through SAM Talks: Art in Conflict – an illuminating three-part series of deep dives into Art in Conflict, now showing at SAM as a touring show curated by the Australian War Memorial.

An esteemed historian specializing in conflict studies, Dr von Güttner will guide listeners on an exploration through key works in the show, examining different veins of thought within the context of Art in Conflict and the SAM Collection. Join us for one, two or all three!

Built over its 80+ year history, SAM’s collection currently spans almost 4000 significant objects. Dr von Güttner will examine a selected work from within the collection, exploring its connections  to Art in Conflict and global history.
